Introducing Seismic Chisel Substack
I've been reflecting on my gift to write, and how when I first started my website/blog originally "Seismic Chisel" & instagram page, I desired to write concerning topics around reconciliation, and on using creativity/poetry and music to glorify God and impact people with the Good News. I recognize that the ministry of reconciliation to one another and in the stewardship of creation is connected to and essential for the advancing of the Gospel message of reconciliation to God in Christ and that sometimes I spend a lot of time pondering and writing on these things. Our reconciliation to God in Christ, our reconciliation to one another through Him in the human societies and systems we live in, and our stewardship of His creation are connected. The desire is to be rooted in He who is the Truth in pursuing this reconciliation as the Lord allows in this age before His return. Jesus said to the Judeans who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32). And biblical justice is certainly a part of the reconciliation process as well.
So, I've started a Substack to talk about such topics and share resources I find.
For the Substack, sometimes it might be more poetic or musical… sometimes more informational, educational, philosophical, or historical… sometimes more theological, sometimes more prophetic.
Especially of interest is the ministry of reconciliation with regard to: 1) Racial/Ethnic race & biblical justice in the United States, including often or buried unknown history pertaining to African Americans, 2) Ecumenical: bringing to light areas behind divisions across ethnic and denominational lines and seeking healing for them in the body of Christ: pursuing the oneness that Christ prayed and paid for in the Ecclesia, and 3) Jew-Gentile: the relationship between the Jew & Gentile, the Church & Israel, combating antisemitism…our connection to the Near East, the modern Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Land and people of the Near East - both biblically, historically, socio-politically and practically. My faith in Yeshua and my connection to the historic Church… the witness of the Apostles and thus, back to the people of Israel through Yeshua informs me as I consider these things.
#1 Goes so deep, it's impacted my life since I was brought forth into this world and this nation, and I saw these things from a young age. #2 Is what I've been thrust into, especially in a lot of the ministry endeavors I've done in my adult life around united expressions of the body of Christ. #3 I believe, is a key to the other areas, and especially in this arena, there is much to continue to learn.
I hope to share some things I'm picking up along the journey. We can keep pursuing King Jesus and His Kingdom together!
As I began to write this, I thought on the end of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s famous August 28, 1963 speech which articulates these pieces as he ends his dream: “And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old negro spiritual, "Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last."

There is an option to pay a monthly subscription to support that work, which I'd gladly appreciate!
"20Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, 21to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." - Ephesians 3:20-21
May God give grace and empowerment for the journey ahead and may you be blessed as you share in this with me.
Peace,
Clinton
